Photo Electric Switch Reflectors

Question about photo electric switch reflectors

Does it matter if I use a special reflector from the manufacturer or is something as simple as a bicycle reflector good enough? They are cheap anyway, but I'm just wondering if there are differences.

I have used various brands of reflectors for photo-electric switches and they seem to work fine. As for bicycle reflectors, i have never had any reason to try them,  but if I had to guess, I would say they will work. A basic photo-reflective switch shouldn't be that picky.
