Guys,
What's the difference between S and SJ service cord? Do I need to specify either of these when I am ordering. I am looking to extend power cords on 120V machinery. thanks!

What do you guys think? What is more maintenance friendly Function Block programming or ladder diagram programs.

What is more maintenance friendly: Function Block or Ladder Diagram?

If you were faced with a machine that is down and out, would you rather the PLC program with function block style programming or the good old fashion ladder logic?

I prefer a digital meter mainly for the size and weight, but I also have a Wiggy that I bought for 5 bucks from a co-worker who was hurting for cash. The Wiggy was the best 5 bucks I ever spent on test equipment though...

Scopemeters are newer and better technology... plain and simple...

I like Rockwell PLC's personally. I've taken courses over the years in RSLogix programming so it makes them user-friendly in my mind...

It's probably that way for any brand PLC if you've been to training and seminars.

This is a picture of a gold-bonded relay that we have used in our plant:

These are the only gold-bonded relays we use and I was wondering the reasoning behind the choice. The application for this particular relay was controlling some valve logic, so I don't see what reason it was chosen by the manufacturer.

What is a gold bonded relay?

Does anyone know the details of a gold-bonded relay? Typically you here of silver contacts and I have to admit I have never seen a gold relay. I have a defective gold-bonded relay and i'm just hoping to replace it with a relay with similar current ratings. Any info would be appreciated.

thanks,
Randy.
