Here's what the troubleshooting guide says: The motor current being drawn from the drive is too high.

  • Trying to accelerate a large inertia load too quickly
  • Trying to decelerate a large inertia load too quickly
  • Application of shock load to motor
  • Short circuit between motor phases
  • Short circuit between motor phase and earth
  • Motor output cables too long or too many parallel
  • motors connected to the drive
  • Fixed or auto boost levels are set too high

To clear an overcurrent alarm you'll need to look at the list of suggestions from the troubleshooting guide and go through the list to find the reason for your overcurrent situation.

Pressing the "E" button should clear the alarm from the drive but if you don't find the reason behind the overcurrent situation and solve it, it will just return when you least want it.

To clear a heatsink alarm you will need to lower the heatsink temperature within the drive. Suggestions from the manual are all reasons for overheating, you just need to find the source of the excessive heat and rectify the situation. Once you lower the temperature or allow the drive to cool off, you can press the "E" button to clear the alarm.

This alarm is most likely caused by the machinery or equipment having a fault or problem which resulted in the external fault contactor opening/closing to notify the drive that there is a problem with the machinery/equipment.

When you set up your dynamic braking installation, resistor sizing  is critical. If the application was in service with no problems, then the resistor sizing isn't the issue unless the load has changed. An overheated braking resistor can also be caused by stopping too frequently.

To clear a brake switch alarm, you will need to start with the dynamic braking calibration and verify that it is properly set up, next you need to examine the installation to make sure the load isn't too much for the dynamic braking system. It is possible to overheat the dynamic brake circuit if you are stopping the motor too often also... so there are few places you need to visit when you see this alarm.

Keypad accidentally disconnected from drive

This can be caused by vibration or a broken connector. To clear this alarm, simply check that the keypad is plugged in and seated properly and cycle the power to the drive.

I'm not sure if this alarm is referring to an internal contactor or an external contactor. If the drive is monitoring an internal contactor, you may have a hardware problem.

If it is referring to an external contactor, you can start by verifying the wiring to the external contactor and testing the contactor coil.

Definition of electrical shock load: A substantial, instantaneous, momentary rise in current.

You'll need to put your thinking cap on and investigate the loading of the drive. If this alarm appears on a proven system, then mechanical or physical changes in the system may have occurred. If this alarm appears on a newly commissioned system, then you'll need to  research the drive setup and design.

This alarm is triggered by brake resistor overcurrent. The cause for the overcurrent can be improper resistor sizing, shorted or melted resistor wiring, or a failed resistor. You'll have to do some research in the brake resistor circuit to clear this fault permanently.

It doesn't necessarily tell you why, it just tells you that the drive "believes" it is exceeding the max speed. You should be able to press the "E" button to clear this alarm, however that won't fix the reason for the drive thinking it is overspeeding the motor.

Increase the value of MAX SPEED RPM up to the nameplate rpm of the motor (as a minimum). It may be reduced, if required, after the Autotune is complete.

It looks like the max RPM calibration value may be the source of this fault. You'll have to verify that you've got the right value for this setting.

It seems like this alarm can only be cleared by verifying and adjusting your calibration. This alarm is triggered by motor settings in particular or possibly an incorrectly sized drive for the motor that you're trying to control.
