Obsolete Electrical Components
Obsolete Industrial, also known as OI, is a directory of industrial parts suppliers. We are a technology based business. The website was launched in 2008. Decades of maintenance experience provided enough evidence that obsolete electrical and electronic parts continually made life difficult in the industrial environment.
Our team consists of industrial maintenance technicians with a variety of electrical and mechanical backgrounds. We have been repairing, replacing and upgrading industrial controls and equipment for over twenty years.
We are a technology based organization. All parts and information contained on the site have been contributed by a community of industrialists. We do not warehouse parts and components, but provide a means for perspective buyers and sellers to achieve their goals.
Through a series of how-to articles along with basic theory and work experience, we have produced a system of methodical troubleshooting, parts location, and ultimately machine uptime. We encourage you to use the information contained at OI to your advantage, whether for obsolete electrical components or any industrial maintenance issues.
Electrical Part Descriptions
- DC Magnetic Motor Starters
- Contactors description: An electrically controlled switch typically used to switch on a separate power circuit. The power contacts are capable of higher current ratings. The operating coil is controlled by a low power circuit.
- Relays
- PLC Hardware
- Inverters
- PLC Rack
- Contactor Coils description: The contactor coil is energized by a low power circuit which can also be low voltage. It is a component of a relay or high power contactor device.
- Control Coils description: The control coil (similar to contactor coil) is energized by a low power circuit which can also be low voltage when compared to the power contacts. It is the operating component of a relay or high power contactor device.
- Chuck Parts
- Relay Selenoids
- Solenoids
- Temperature Controllers
- Soft Starters description: An electronic device capable to controlling the inital acceleration of a motor. It can be adjusted or programmed for controlled acceleration but not typically for overall speed or motor direction.
